Methodist Hospital North Tower Addition is a six-story 155,000 square foot new tower addition. The new tower will expand the capacity of the hospital’s ICU, which will increase
from 29 to 40 beds, and the Emergency Department, which will increase from 17 to 28 beds. An 18 bed observation unit will also be added along with 120 medical surgical rooms, 20 critical care patient rooms, and a new pharmacy, kitchen and cafeteria. The project utilized 3D modeling with all trades to assist in overhead congestion and coordination.
The project is one of only two hospital projects in California that are being financed through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program.
