Southern California Office Update

It’s a wrap
Weingart Center Tower 1A, Los Angeles
Exterior work for this 19-story affordable housing tower featured offsite prefabrication of more than 300 EIFS panels some as large as 10 feet by 30 feet.

Pepper Canyon West at UCSD, San Diego
The 32-story student housing tower included 150 Prefabricated Kitchen Units (PKUs) and 600 Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBUs). Wrapped in temporary protection and craned into the building, the team installed 30 units a day in time to welcome students for the fall 2024 session.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Locker Relocation, Hollywood
With the relocation of the public lockers from the queue area to outside the ride, artisans constructed large scale boulders out of rebar, covered in three coats of lath and plaster, and painted to resemble rock formations.

Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center, Chula Vista
Work scope for this multi-year 2 million square foot resort included exterior framing, EIFS, DEFS and AVB. The standout feature is the faux wood finish that adds sophistication and curb appeal.

Standout project
Lucas Museum, Los Angeles
A flowing roof ribbon constructed with metal studs and steel with three coats of lath and plaster includes 192 geometrically complex prefabricated framed panels craned to the roof and set in place. Installation requires a high degree of precision to achieve the desired shape to create a futuristic look.
What’s in progress

LA Valley College, Van Nuys and LA Pierce College, Woodland Hills
Both projects with Pankow feature similar scopes for LA Valley College and LA Pierce College. Exterior work includes framing, sheathing, waterproofing and cladded with various metal and fiber cement panels along with cement plaster. Interior scope includes framing, drywall and taping.

Limelight Hotel Exterior, Mammoth
The exterior prefabricated EIFS panels feature a faux wood finish to blend in with surrounding forest. The new luxury property is the highly visible centerpiece of the community.

Contribution to community
The team gave back to the community working with the Orange County Food Bank boxing food for the elderly in need and held a back-to-school drive collecting school supplies for local teachers.
